Simsbury High School Girls Rugby Team Welcomes
RYAN BOND as NEW Head Coach!
RYAN BOND, a seasoned rugby enthusiast with a lifelong dedication to the sport, was appointed as the new head coach for the Simsbury High School Girls Rugby Team for the 2024 season. And.... he brought the team to a win at 2024 STATES in his inaugural year! With over a decade of experience as both a player and coach, Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his new role.

Introduced to rugby at the age of 10, Ryan quickly found his calling as a scrum half and distinguished himself on the field throughout his formative years. Representing his high school and college club teams with distinction, Ryan's commitment to the game extended beyond mere participation as he assumed player-coach roles within several men's clubs, demonstrating both his leadership skills and deep understanding of the sport.

Transitioning seamlessly into a mentorship role, Ryan contributed significantly to the development of budding rugby players by serving as an assistant coach at his alma mater high school. Here, he focused on instilling fundamental knowledge of the game, nurturing a new generation of athletes with a solid grasp of rugby's intricacies.

He is poised to lead and inspire the next generation of female rugby players. His leadership marks a new chapter in his commitment to rugby, as he eagerly anticipates guiding the Simsbury team to success while continuing to foster a love for the game among young athletes.
